Additional members of the Danse Adje ensemble.

Elaine Dove

Elaine is a certified Feldenkrais practitioner and an accomplished dancer and choreographer. She paints, climbs rocks, meditates, and has her own urban fusion dance company. Elaine has been dancing and drumming with us since 2002. She is very outgoing and responsive to the community building side of our artistic mission. You may visit bluestudio.org to learn more about Elaine and her work.

Holly Svec

Holly is a UT anthropology graduate and substitute teacher. Though she had no previous dance training or experience when she joined us in 1998, Holly is sensitive to the spiritual underpinnings of Haitian dance and moves with confidence and grace. Holly plays piano, violin, and harp. She also sings beautifully and collects delightful handmade dolls.

Jaime Arline
Jaime performed with us at two international diaspora conferences at UT Austin, and in White Darkness. He is passionate about music and plays flute and piano, as well as drums. In 2004, Jaime published Journeys, a collection of short stories and personal reflections.

Richard Higdon

Rich owns a pottery production studio outside Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He winters with us in Austin and plays for workshops and other seasonal events. In addition to playing Cuban and Haitian style music in the Danse Adje ensemble, Rich plays guitar and washboard in a blues band, and acts in Door County community theater productions.
